And you know what Mukoma Simba, I`ve found that for most people they actually WANT to be nagged especially if they are new believers. It makes all the difference to have someone calling you from time to time, coming to pick you up for cell, for Cross for all-night prayers, for coffee that sort of thing.
All of my early mentors were people who were in my face consistently. They loved on me, rebuked me and grew me in a way I always thank God for. I remember one of them was at my house at least 4 times a week. She used to bring me books about great men and women of God which stirred me up so much. She put me on a crazy Bible Reading program once and she used to come and check if I was doing it. My love and appreciation for the Word has not quite diminished since then. We did tea together, we did supper at each others houses, we prayed together. We shared food from our houses at Conferences. I`m sure you can tell that those experiences are experiences that I hold so dear even to today. My early mentors are all in different places. Some have gone on to become powerful men and women of God. Some hit a ditch along the way and have backslidden. But I have tremendous respect for all of them and my desire is always that God will remember the seed they sowed into my life. Guys do this for someone else you don`t know what impact you will have on their lives. The Word says* "by this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love one for another".* On Thu, Feb 10, 2011 at 8:57 AM, simbarashe wekwete <[email protected]>wrote: > - I try and be there for people like what Chief Tsungie said. > - I make every effort to bring a smile on people's faces and i mean by > all means necessary. > - I also try and find out wer someone is at in watever aspect of their > life and offer help in any way possible, financially, by a word, a > prayer, a joke etc. this is a difficult one coz u run the risk of > nagging someone, but i have seen that it pays, wen someone eventually > opens up and u talk about the issue it brings a relief on the person. > > On 2/10/11, Tsungi Mukandi <[email protected]> wrote: > > Thanks for asking that question General.
