Well, I guess time will tell whether VR is more analagous to desktop GUIs or
"light guns" or "motion control". It's worth noting that current consoles
support equivalents of both light guns and motion control and they are used
to great effect in recent games like the Infamous series and the latest
installments in the Tomb Raider series. The lack of libre software to support
these kinds of gaming experience is nothing to be proud of.
