Why not ask me if I breathe?
DAVEH:  I don't have an interest in that.....   :-P
I am not a Protestant.   I see no value in denominationalism and I resist my bias.   I am not a protest tant.
DAVEH:  Thank you.

For instance, some say baptism is necessary.  Some say it is not.  Some say it should be done by immersion, some say sprinkling is OK.  Some say infant baptism is necessary, others believe it is not appropriate.  All these views can be gleaned from Scripture.  I find it hard to believe that all are ordained of God.  What I've found on TT is that it doesn't matter what one believes (doctrinally), IF one believes in Jesus.  Yet on the other hand....I'm chastised for believing in Jesus from my LDS perspective.

See, here is your problem.
DAVEH:  I think it is only a problem for you, John.
You believe that you have to be right on all these issues and I do not.   I Cor 8:1-3 clearly teaches that our relationship with God is not based on knowledge but on love.   Grace means that we do not fail  ---  hence no need for the Mormon church.   God got it right the first time.   He did not overlook anything.   He knew we would fail  --  and He instituted an eternal (never ending ) sacrifice to cover that failure.  The mormon church has to deny this.   Jere 31:31-34 promises a covenant that finds God no longer considering our sins.

Come to grace DaveL.   It's a blast.
DAVEH:  Thanx for the offer, John.  At this point in time, I don't think I am comfortable with understanding grace as you apparently must.

John
