Who, pray tell David, occupies the position you've described. Do you know such a person and, will you introduce her/him to us?

You and Lance repeat this mantra often, but few
accept it because from our perspective, it does
not matter what any of us think the Bible says.
Our opinions do not mean much of anything.
What matters is what God thinks the Bible says.

the fact is this: there is no alternative to what I have said !!

Is there any chance at all that you are in error about this JD? Or do you
speak infallibly on this issue? :-)

The alternative is this:

Often people speak from their personal perspective of what the Bible says,
but sometimes they know without error what the Bible says. For example, the
Bible teaches that Jesus is the Messiah, our Lord and Savior. This can be
spoken infallibly, without any chance of misunderstanding the Bible on this
point, right?

Our opinions of what the Bible says are relatively unimportant. Our
opinions are only stepping stones when we investigate matters. What is
REALLY important is what the Bible teaches and says. Our opinions and
beliefs should never contradict the Bible. If our belief system or theology in any way does not properly perceive the intended meaning of any passage of Scripture, then we need to lay that theology down and embrace what the Bible
teaches. So just the opposite of what you are teaching above, it really
*IS* about what the Bible actually says, not about what we think the Bible
says.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
