Which defaults need changes to ${maven.home} to work?
Almost everything is overriden by a project or user property, or an entry in the project build file...

ANd if you maintain that it cannot be hacked, there needs to be an easy
way of overriding the defaults. Perhaps a maven.site.home or something
similar.
