for this, I'd assume you'd write your own plug-in, e.g. similar to what we plan to do for Forrest, and have done with the j2ee stuff.
Your own properties, build and control file.
We'll get this documented soon.

Ok.
To elaborate, I am thinking along the lines of using Maven or Centipede
to build company projects (read private-non open source). My company
wants to reserve the right to brand the default look and feel of the
Maven install. That makes it easier as new subprojects are built.
