Ok, here is my vote:

Lets dump what we have of OPaL from CVS. It causes new users to much
trouble. It isn't documented and isn't finished and doesn't look like it
will be any time soon.

Lets improve BasePeer to support whatever features that people need. It is
already pretty complete and is only missing some minor features like
transactions. I say minor because they can probably be added fairly easily
with wrapper objects. I'm using it quite heavily on Scarab and it has been
used on two other projects for Clear Ink. In other words, it is pretty well
tested, works very nicely, has the auto-generation stuff nearly complete,
has the IDBroker working, etc.
