Yeah after thinking about this again since the couple of weeks ago when
I was looking at this before, I was about to respond saying something
like this (although perhaps phrased more as a question about whether it
was really worth the effort to get OPaL finished).

There are a couple of significant design flaws/holes in the OPaL code that's
there (the handling of array attributes for instance) and given that the
Peer stuff is both very cool and in use, the effort to fix OPaL would
seem more of an academic exercise than a genuinely useful one.

Having said that Michael if you are up for doing work on OPaL I'm happy
to contribute, having looked over the code and had some thoughts about
what needs doing.
