Certainly, so it's not the first choice if you're hacking on a notebook
or old equipment. But it's free and comes with lots of useful plugins
such as Mylyn which you don't get elsewhere. The Pydev plugin is
completely free now, too, and continually improving. I like it.

Komodo Edit is free, but it's not a full IDE. If you like Wing IDE, you
can ask for a free license as open source developer.

If you're an Windows, you should also check out the free PyScripter IDE.
