For what it's worth we've been down this path once before with sharing the
implementation. As I recall there was negative feed back that the dependencies
was only captured in maven which not all understand and that these simple
beginner samples should stand on their own. It also made it more difficult to
just copy, paste and edit to start a new sample to play with.
