Well, we have seen over the last decade that outrage can fuel, political
success, I’m not sure that grievance politics really fits into the
Democrats MO. Also, I’m not sure it’s fair to judge Kimmel in terms of how
successful of political operative he was being. Part of his role is to use
Humor to Critique and challenge the powerful, But it is not really to
organize the opposition to overthrow the current administration.

I also I’m not a huge Jimmy Kimmel fan. I don’t dislike him, when I do
watch a late night talk show these days. It’s usually Colbert. I do watch
clips on YouTube and I believe I am recording his program every night and
if I hear of something particularly interesting or funny, I may check it
out, but I have no deep investment in his particular brand or show. But I
do respect him and his approach to the job, And sometime ago, I came to
realize that, even though Colbert took over the desk from Dave, Kimmel is
really more the heir to Dave’s approach than anyone else working these
days.

Kim gave me everything I wanted to see in that return show, And I believe
he has laid the foundation for this incident being one of the turning
points, if there ever is going to be a turning point.
