I'm using double face technique, and Guntram's "viking" font (I like it, but
in retrospect it is quite a wide font -

better off using the Roman Capitals one, or designing a narrower font
myself.
looking at cottons I can't find a direct comparison, but I have found
various sites that seem to imply that #80 is about twice as fine as #8.
Approximate of course as they are different scales.
I think I'll go ahead and just experiment, it will be an interesting project
anyway, and if I make note of what I've done, I will know a lot more about
my own weaving style/tension etc for future projects.
