Hi folks I am looking at making name bracelets for a bunch of kids, and was wondering how any of you calculate length of cotton/rows/final lengths? Basically I'm having to do a few experiments - I am using size 8 crochet cotton (fairly fine) and seeing how long a bracelet would be for my son (he's Alexander, so quite a long name!), with a motif at each end. The pattern is 526 picks long, and 44 tablets wide (argh, this is not really a starter project hehe). I have no idea currently how long it will turn out - it may be long enough to go around his waist! If it is, I guess I can re-specialise into belts :) Anyone have any calculation methods I can use? Sarah
