Hi, I am writing on behalf of the Government of Manitoba to advise you of a recently announced change to Manitoba's time observance and to request that the change be reflected in the IANA Time Zone Database.
On September 17, 2026, Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew announced that Manitoba will move to permanent Daylight Saving Time (DST) and will no longer observe the seasonal clock changes. According to the announcement, clocks in Manitoba will not revert to standard time on November 1, 2026, and the province intends to remain on DST year-round.
