I Use EditPlus, but I have found one major flaw that ED

If you want to add say, 4 spaces to the beginning a block
  of lines (to indent a block), you can't do that. whereas
  in ED, you would just set < & >, and r//    /b  (or use a #)

Anyone found a way to do this in EditPlus?

Using ED as an editor to write programs reminds me of the story of the

ohh, editor wars hits mv.  :)

Ive been really impressed with gvim and vim. Recently started using komodo-edit from Activestate. It looks ReallyNice. Needs syntax hilighting for U2 though.
