Hi Glenn, yep, I'm a happy user of this unit. The box itself has no video out (or in). But I just use the TV-out on my video card for that (nvidia, dunno how well this works on other brands). For non-deskbound viewing I also use a PAL CRT TV which connects to the vid card via a composite cable and s-video adapter. Works perfectly. > > My vote goes to the AVerMedia DVB-T USB 2.0 - > > http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=163 > > > > It's marketed as Linux-compatible, does both HD & SD TV, is very > > versatile, and an excellent performer. > > > > I have a $30 amplified indoor antenna from Dick Smith plugged into it > > and I get great reception on all channels (although being located in > > central Sydney makes this a bit easier of course). > > > > Live HDTV using Kaffeine is brilliant - better than the included Windows > > software which always seems to produce slightly weird looking pictures > > no matter how much I try and adjust it. > > > > Recording via commandline with dvb-utils and playback via mPlayer works > > a treat.
