Ok. I cannot do much more at the moment as I cannot reproduce the problem. However, Pre-Depends might be causing problems in complex upgrade situations – I will see if Pre-Depends can be removed from future openoffice.org-voikko releases (it was introduced in 8.10 regarding Ubuntu packages), so that eg. 8.04 LTS -> 10.04 LTS will work if that's the culprit. It was introduced because of upgrade problems regarding extensions from older OpenOffice.org to newer ones (Debian 3.1 -> 4.0). OOo 2.4.x -> 3.x could be easier, but I haven't tested it yet.
An Ubuntu 8.10 stable release update could be released with the Pre- Depends removed, since Ubuntu 8.04 LTS has also OOo 2.4 so 8.04 LTS -> 8.10 should not actually require it.
