I know this is marked as won't fix - but wanted to highlight that it is
being seen by more people than you'd expect.

I'm on the Lenovo Linux team, and get this reported as an issue by customers 
using docks with the laptop lid closed - which is more common than you'd think.
I can confirm it's fixed by adding i915 or amdgpu to the initramfs in my testing

It seems minor - but is there any reason why we can't add these modules?
Maybe it's slightly niche but it's not super niche.
