Regarding this topic separating Ubuntu Studio from Ubuntu makes no sense. Ubuntu Studio is an Ubuntu flavour, this comes with all the pros and cons. One of the pros is, that a user could install everything from the official repositories. One con is, that a user could install everything from the official repositories.
