Yeah, I've got an Inspiron 1520 which is rock-solid, has been trundled about in a backpack and luggage with just a foam sleeve for over a year now, works fine. Repair shops see more Dells because more people have Dells. They're a good and very popular choice. I'd have bought a Mini 9 too if it wasn't for the short battery life and lack of F-keys.
