@Keith: all you have to do is install the "nvidia-current-updates" package, better if through Jockey (the restricted driver manager).
@pelm: I'm wondering if you're facing a different problem then (especially since you mentioned that the driver was working for you). We need more data. Please reproduce the problem (i.e. enter Unity and let it freeze, then either get to the terminal or reboot), type "sudo nvidia-bug-report.sh" and attach the nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file that you should find in your home directory. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/982710 Title: [regression] Nvidia 295.40 driver is extremely slow To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-ubuntu/+bug/982710/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
