Same here. My Dell XPS 1430 has the same issue: ever since the upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04 it frequently freezes completely, no mouse, no keys, last bits of audio keep repeating.
Note that I don't have an Ivy bridge processor, just an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8700 @ 2.53GHz and GeForce 9400M G/integrated/SSE2 graphics card. The freeze often (but not always) happens when I use flash.
