The following tags are removed on purpose, because they could cause
harm if included in the output JPG:

> Exif.Image.ImageWidth
> Exif.Image.ImageLength
> Exif.Image.BitsPerSample
> Exif.Image.Compression
> Exif.Image.PhotometricInterpretation
> Exif.Image.StripOffsets
> Exif.Image.SamplesPerPixel
> Exif.Image.RowsPerStrip
> Exif.Image.StripByteCounts
> Exif.Image.XResolution
> Exif.Image.YResolution
> Exif.Image.PlanarConfiguration
> Exif.Image.ResolutionUnit
> Exif.Image.SubIFDs

The following tags are saved when using ufraw in stand-alone mode. It
seems like gimp is removing them. I'm attaching a JPG file generated
by ufraw. Opening this file in Gimp and saving it again, looses these
tags.

> Exif.Image.DNGVersion
> Exif.Image.DNGBackwardVersion
> Exif.Image.UniqueCameraModel
> Exif.Image.ColorMatrix1
> Exif.Image.ColorMatrix2
> Exif.Image.AnalogBalance
> Exif.Image.AsShotNeutral
> Exif.Image.BaselineExposure
> Exif.Image.BaselineNoise
> Exif.Image.BaselineSharpness
> Exif.Image.LinearResponseLimit
> Exif.Image.CalibrationIlluminant1
> Exif.Image.CalibrationIlluminant2

This is removed because, it cannot fit into the JPG EXIF segment:
> Exif.Image.DNGPrivateData

> As a side note, how come PhotoME for Windows pulls out tons more
> information from the EXIF than exiv2 does? I'm talking dozens and
> dozens of lines of more... stuff that shows me information from the
> very core of my camera itself, like the firmware version number all
> the way down to the 4th level (ie. 1.01.00.07)

It is possible that it decodes the DNGPrivateData tag. Does it save
these tags in the JPG or just shows if for DNG file? ExifTool in
linux, also decodes some of the information in the DNGPrivateData tag.
