Peter,
I've not had that problem with Comcast, and I use all my own equipment.
I also use multiple DNS entries from different providers, which has saved my
rear end a couple of times.
In general, I've had good luck with:
2.4.4.2 = Verizon
207.172.3.8 (.9, .10 and .11) = RCN
68.87.73.242 = Comcast
BTW... this is Joe from the Glenndale Sports Soccer program.
Joe

I have the FIOS (15MB) service, so far happy with it. I suspect their DNS
from time to time has small (up to 10 or 20 secs) hickups...
Another thing I hate abotu comcast is their nuisance of connecting
your own hardware as router. You have to call them,and they charge $3 or
so if you want to switch. Horrible. I haven't tried that trick with
Verizon, but will so very very soon. The tech told me it should work.

Hi, Guys:
I've been using Comcast for long time. It is ok, but during spring and
summer, there are many outage of service due to weather(?, my only
guess).
So, i am thinking to switch to Verizon or other provider.
Can you give me some advice (i am in silver spring area)?
Thanks,
Jinho
