Except when you're telling selected others that they should be more civil than others.
Tony West is certainly capable of defending himself, and has done so in the past.
And sometimes, one has to defend others when they're unfairly maligned. Tony's a friend. Glenn hates him, lies about him, and wishes him harm.
But I cannot abide hypocrisy: you're the ones claiming some moral high ground while doing the same thing you accuse others of.
And I cannot abide _poor arguments_. Karen, imagine that you have a hobby, like needlepoint or model trains or birdwatching. And someone posts on this list that he's starting up a lightly moderated listserv devoted to that topic. So okay, you sign up for it. Now you're on both lists. You come here to duke it out with the neighbors, but you go there to have a convivial chat.

Does that mean that _you_ are expected to follow _that_ list's rules when you're on _this_ list? So why are you demanding that those of us who joined Kyle's list must somehow be whiter than white and purer than pure, merely because we joined another list?
