Within a couple hours' drive is a large radius. I'd recommend heading out toward the Lancaster area. There's a nice B&B in Lebanon County called the Inn on 422. I'm not sure about price, though.

hi, all,

i know this might be a bit off-topic, but i thought i'd ask:

i'm looking for a bed & breakfast in the region (within a couple hours' drive of the city), ideally not in the city itself, for a visit in october. affordability (less than $100/night) is a consideration.

thanks so much for your suggestions!
