If I could get Slimserver running decently using Ubuntu 7.04 i386 Desktop on a lame old workstation with a 700mHz Athlon, 391MB RAM, and horribly slow disks, I'll go out on a limb and speculate that it should work fine on the miniITX box the OP has, with the caveat that all the hardware bits are supported by Ubuntu (probably the case, but in any event very easy to determine). Xubuntu could feel a bit snappier, being a little ligher weight, but it would be helpful to know that someone has gotten Slimserver working on it. Anyone?
