I'm sorry but I fully understood what you were proposing.

BUT: The tags aren't stored in any music files, also not in .wav by
iTunes. Squeezecenter and formerly SlimServer read the information
completely out of the .xml file, not from any tags!!!

I can't go back to SlimServer because of some planned investments into
new Slimdevices...

I just want to understand why Squeezecenter has a problem with 10% of
my albums which have no special characters or anything else in
filenames.
