Since my other linux boxes are servers, virtual machines, and a desktop
in a completely different room, I'll have to dig out one of my older
laptops and put an updated copy of linux on it and test out the dac. If
the issue is related to the usb problems on the pi, I may decide to keep
the Emotiva dac and find another alternative for a low power, low cost
linux box to run squeezelite and the dac (maybe what the voyage mpd guys
are running. The pc engines alix3d2). Does anyone have other suggestions
for a low power, low cost hardware to run linux? This route would be
much cheaper then to buy another dac which will cost me more than what
the Emotiva cost me with similar feature set.
