I too played with JiveLite for the first time today. I'm afraid I didn't reboot after I connected an HDMI cable, I just plugged it in with everything going. I doubt you can cater for this use case but I'll let you know my experience. My TV is 1080P and I saw 3 menu options (including settings) at the top of the screen, and that menu was replicated 3 times all at the top of the screen side by side. I selected settings and the 1080P screen then it all worked fine.
