Thanks for the suggestion, I've tried a 64bit debian in vmware and it's
no better sync-wise - do you specify any special parameters to
squeezelite?  I compiled 1.4 from scratch, and tried both:
default                        - Playback/recording through the
PulseAudio sound server
sysdefault:CARD=AudioPCI       - Ensoniq AudioPCI, ES1371 DAC2/ADC -
Default Audio Device
