Hi Greg,

Yes I posted the script that I use now (I did not write the original
though) it works fine for me.

The whole point of including this in squeezelite, as I see it, is NOT to
have to write a script ! 
I use the script I posted at the moment but many who use PCP may not be
able to and may not have the knowledge to transfer the script to PCP to
be run by the -S switch.

Why on earth would you build hardware to do this when it can be done in
software ? 
The easiest way to turn a power amp (or any other mains powered device)
is with an SSR (which has opto-isolation) but without inversion you can
not do this with the -G switch.

Sorry If  I sound miffed, I do appreciate what you guys do but the -G
switch at the moment is just daft.
