that is a persistent location, does not require a backup. Unless you pulled the power to the device while it was writting and corrupted the cache/settings. Not likely a specific pCP issue. Do you have a good power supply on your system? Weak power supplies will corrupt drives rather easily. If you can reproduce the problem, You can look at the LMS logs.
