Well I was going on what I read here

and that fact that neither wpa_supplicant nor wireless-tools are in the
base image, but are in the SqueezePlay image.

I never noticed that you had listed wps_supplicant for install  :o  (I
have been using my own spoof sheet for most of it, just trying out bits
of your approach every now and then).

I tried with wireless-tools and no wpa-supplicant and it would not work.
I then added wpa_supplicant and it did work.

I did not try the other way around.

I have no idea on how to clean up the new image, so I'll maybe play with
that later, after a "remove headers" google.

But there must be more clues in the SqueezePlay OS, on how to do things,
it's just that I don't know/understand which packages and scripts are
needed/interconnected.
