OK, that's what I was referring to as 'the former' - it's quite doable. The Pi Zero won't make for the snappiest server, but it's quite usable. With LMS running on the Pi zero you won't need it running on your laptop as well. Regarding the Samba share that isn't working yet, it's all there in Jeff's detailed post - just make sure you didn't miss a step. For encouragement, I have a Pi 3A+ doing more or less what you're aiming for. I don't have an attached screen, but the LMS and (a couple of) Squeezelite player(s) run on the 3A+ (one for the 3.5mm jack, and one for a bluetooth speaker). I also have the 3A+ set up as an access point (using the options in pCP), so that other players (e.g. Boom, Radio) can be served by its LMS (and then I also have Philippe's AirPlay bridge). Music is on a third partition of the MicroSD card, and it's all controlled via the web interface on my laptop or via iPeng on my phone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106833 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
