The problem could be Tidal AAC specific (which are in MPEG4) or streamed
MPEG-4 in general.

Below is an example link for France Musique MP4 jazz podcast (there are
many)  - which is streamed MPEG-4

However, from your description, it seems unlikely that just playing this
podcast will trigger the issue. The issue seems to have a time element
as well.

Can you play the podcast or any streamed MP4 to see if the issue shows
up.
