As you have mentioned Synology ; I have simply and successfully updated LMS by 1. Downloading new docker image 2. Stopping existing container and turning off auto restart 3. Launching new image with identical settings (pointing to same config folder location) as existing
Optionally backup /config folder beforehand (I do that daily anyway), then delete old container. All done with synology GUI docker and worked just fine.
