I have PicorePlayer 8.2.0 installed on an rPi4 and now connected to a Beresford Caiman SEG DAC by USB. Sounds great, but if I power down the DAC, or disconnect the USB cable, I have to reboot PicorePlayer to get Pi and DAC talking to each other again. The output from the Pi is set to generic USB. I see the same problem if I plug in the Apple DAC/Headphone adapter. Is this normal or have I something wrong.
What do the custom output settings on the Pi USB output option do? (Not too technical and answer to that please!) It's not too much of an issue as I leave the DAC on all the time - just interested. And thank you to all the good folk on this forum who continue to do so much for us all.
