Will, my Radeon Mac Edition isn't supported either. That doesn't mean it won't work (Which, btw, it does, just fine); it just means ATI isn't going to invest R&D and Support money in it. That said, I wouldn't want to be the first one to buy a 7000 in the hopes it would work. But maybe someone with direct experience with that card will be able to answer Mike's question. > Somehow they screwed up the drives not unusual for ATI. Actually no. ATI has a good reputation. That's why they were the main supplier of video chipsets to Apple until the fight over the Cube. > Old World Macs I belive would have been their largest market. Certainly. But not legacy Macs trying to run OSeX. It's a vanishingly small percentage of Mac users that are going to do this. Very small market that would be. > Based on their trouibles with writing drives I wouldn't hold my breath. Again, what trouble? Just because ATI isn't doing exactly what you want and supporting a small segment of Mac users, doesn't mean you should be slagging the company. I've installed four different ATI cards in various (supported, running OS 8.6 - 9.x) Macs and clones. Not once have I had even a minor problem. -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
