I well know the difference between "supported" and works with no tech
support. The Radeon Mac Edition which is no longer being made works in
OSX with OLD World Macs. The Radeon 7000 does not.It does work fine
in OS9.x. There is talk of a work around on www.xlr8yourmac.com which
a couple of people may have gotten to work with OSX and I think in a
Beige G3 which I don't think is supported by ATI now but was when the
card first went on sale.

You might be surprised how many people would run OSX on their Apple
7300,7500.7600 8500, 8600,9500,9600 and clone machines if there
weren't so many road blocks. The Video problems are one of the
biggest problems in doing so. I too am happy with my ATI rage pro
card which runs fine in OSX on a Umax Supermac J700 . I with the help
of several others did the code work so OSX will run on UMAX J700/S900
and worked with Ryan Rempel to include this code in "XPostFacto" So
while the number of people running OSX on older machines maybe small
when considering the number of machines sold. I was amazed at the
number of people interested and trying to get it to work. I could be
wrong but I think ATI would be surprised how many people want the
7000 card for OSX. later Will S
