Very interesting, Phil. Thank you. I may need to be more detailed with the specific SIIG card I'll be using.
It's the SIIG Ultra ATA 133/100 Pro Do you know if this first 8 gig partition issue applies to this specific card as well? I've just realized something. Last night when I did an "apple system profiler" on the system with that card in it, I was wondering why it was saying it was a "scsi" card. I think you may have just solved that issue, and it leads me to believe that the first 8 gig partition issue might NOT be a problem with this card. Thoughts are welcome. I was able to install OS 10.2 on a 20 GB partition of an 80 GB >drive attached to my ACARD ATA/66 in my 8500. I had to put OS X on an >8 GB parition in my Beige G3 and it is way too small. >-- >_______________________ >Phil Lefebvre >Chicago, IL -- -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX@;mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX-off@;mail.maclaunch.com> For digest mode, email: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX-digest@;mail.maclaunch.com> Subscription questions: <mailto:listmom@;lemlists.com> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
