Looking for a video card to run OS X on my UMAX s900 (9600 clone) Currently I have a really old MacPicasso (bottom of the barrel at the time) by VillageTronic. It will not even run the OS X 10.1 installer since it splits the scren so weird vertically that the menu bar shows up at the bottom of the screen as well as locking the keyboard and mouse.
Anybody got a spare card? I m not looking for some big deal card and I am no video card specialist guru phile. I have found a few Twin Turbo cards (I have a spare TT in my dual 867 and one in my 9600 driving Jaguar) but would look to any other on that will allow me to run and install at least 10.1 for now. I am so tired of OS 9 and the lack of tools like i can get open source for X ;-) Or I could buy new but I am in severe FRUGALITY mode. Help this user from installing Yellow Dog linux. LOL (that installer fails but not because of video) I am also looking for a lo cost 10base-t or 10/100 bt for my old powerbase 180. if you have a spare and all... anyhoo...
