I have had a Voodoo3 2000 PCI work as a SECONDARY video card in my B&W 
G3, with the Rage 128 as the primary card. I don't think X will boot 
with just a Voodoo attached to a monitor, and even when it does it's 
pretty slow. I think one dodge is to attacha Mac -> VGA adapter to the 
built in video connector and then OS X thinks you are using it as a 
primary card and the Voodoo as only a secondary. Play and see what 
happens, that's what this Unsupported business is all about really, 
playing and seeing where you get :).
