I have 10.3.1 on a B&W with a g4 450 and a MDD 867dp; Panther is much snappier on regular finder use and application opening than 10.2.8. It is very noticable in speed improvment on the slower Macs. I think this is the first version of OSX that OS9 users won't find too much of a penalty in using. The speed improvment is across the board but varies a lot from task to task. Some task have only minor improvment from 10.2.

Thank you. What is your processor and how does Panther feel in terms of speed compared with Jaguar?
