I used to run a 7300/200 with 384MB RAM and the original 604e CPU in 10.1.5. I had a 
Rage128 which helped a shedload as they are able to offer some graphics acceleration 
(NOTE: I did NOT say anything about QE) under OS X's Quartz interface. I don't know if 
the Matrox card is supported by OS X but I highly doubt it. Also only 10.1.x supports 
604s, but I guess you knew that?
