Great. Thanks very much for that tip! What it does right now is the Folder with the Finder icon and the question mark appears and just remains there flashing. Do you mean you left it out or did you put it back in? If you left it out, do you have FW through a PCI card? Did you find any documentation on this or you just experimented?

Check the Firewire module. I just fixed a BW by removing it (I feel like an expert now ;-).
