For me, not only no but "hell no". I absolutely need reliable multitasking,
and the Mac was very nice for short periods and usable in a pinch, but any
longer and I inevitably ended up trying to t y p e s l o w l y l e s t . . .
i t . . . f a l l . . . o v e r . . . . . . all the way up to OS 9.

Because I've ALWAYS been doing abusive stuff like this:

Apple could easily have done that before 1990. Apart from the anemic
processor (though it felt pretty spiffy at the time) the Amiga 1000
was up to the task. I was doing compiles, raytracing, playing music,
and using a terminal emulator with no noticable slowdown in 1987,
it's a pity Commodore didn't have a competant graphic artist on the
team to make the GUI actually look nice.
