Howdy,

I wouldn't have minded something perhaps half inch bigger in every direction for standard 3.5 inch drives (check out the hacks people are doing and the massive speed ups - best one I have seen is MacMini in Centri 610 box),
The ones I've seen are being built by hobbyists, tinkerers with a _lot_ of time on their hands, the same types of guys who tinker with robotics and RC stuff, and very little is mentioned about reliability in the final results.
The Mini is mainly a reasonable upgrade for families and small businesses who already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.. They work great in the kitchen, cubby hole in a kid's room, or a small desk in someone's shop.
But, IMO, the main thing overlooked in the discussion is portability. If you have a monitor at home, and want to take your work home, it's a heckuvva lot cheaper than an iBook!!
And for Apple, if anyone cares, they are a way to get some return on the many factory bins full of G4 chips left over from past runs that never made it into other machines.
All the best, Ken N.
