In reference to Bruce's writings: I did what was mentioned in the first answer (that of Kris Tilford). I first did a 9.2.2. install (no custiom install option being an option). Took a few minutes. No USB support. Opened & installed the "USB Card Support 1.4.1.smi" that I downloaded from the site mentioned by mr. Tilford. Restarted, and Lo and Behold! The USB-stick showed up on my desktop as an external diskette unit-icon, and get info shows it as: Type: Diskette, Format: Macintosh PC-exchange. Could be because it's a PC-formattet stick. Anyhow, it works, and the Mac works. Now I'll have to check how it will do when awoken form sleep. Apparently, some Macs gets difficulties here.
Thanx, everyone!
