Not much point in selecting a higher refresh than 60Hz on an LCD, is
there? (I presume this is an`LCD - no-one's specified that.)
There's no gun scanning a beam across an LCD, merely pixels which are
on or off - so the refresh rate's irrelevant. Leave it as low as
possible.
i do not know enough to dispute what you say, but i am running os9.1 on
umax s900 clone w/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] G4/400 and NEC 1850E 19" LCD. the native
resolution for this monitor is 1280 x 1024, but i don't like it that
small so i use 1024 x 786. when i open the monitors control panel, the
resolution dialog box has the usual "recommended/all" selector above the
list of available [EMAIL PROTECTED] choices. if i select only the
recommended list, there is only one option for 1024 x 786 and it is @
85Hz. however, if i select the show all option, the list contains a
half-dozen options all at 1024 x 786, and all the additional ones are at
lower refresh rates. if your assertions are correct, why would that be?
